Permeable Reactive Weir : ウィキペディア英語版 | Permeable Reactive Weir
Permeable reactive weirs (PRWs) are water treatment devices that remove pollutants from surface water, e.g., stormwater, industrial waste water, agricultural drainage ditches, and natural rivers and streams. Permeable reactive weirs resemble hollow dams that contain filter media cartridges that remove pollutants as water passes through the device. PRWs accommodate fish passage up and down stream. PRWs can safely treat water contaminated with bacteria, metals, organic chemicals, and nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus). Permeable reactive weir technology was invented by Erick McWayne and Howard Sprouse of Intracep Engineering, LLC () in 2014 to improve surface water quality around the world.
